It's a cold one!

I ventured out
In the cold
With five children
And a missing mitten

I ventured out
In the wind
With half my brain
And a whole lotta mission

I ventured out
To get things done
With wind in my hair
And snow in my ears

I ventured out
Then got stuck in the store
The base exercise stranding me
With five children and nothing to do

I ventured out
Finally got back home
Now everyone is napping
Maybe I ought to, too

that's kind of funny-but I know probably kind of not when it was happening! were the kids good at least when you were locked up in the store?
Too bad we couldn't have ended the night together! this wind is just sooooo horible, we had white out conditions just getting into town from the base! and we didn't want you all getting stuck out here somewhere in this weather! we'll find a time when we can! ;)

It wasn't really that funny, but when I got home and could relax a bit, I was sort of proud of myself for accomplishing as much as I did. :)

Brandy, I don't know why, but the Commissary didn't get the message when they downgraded to Charlie. We were walking out and they were still stuck in there for a while. Woops!

Karin, I wish we coulda come too, but I agree, the weather was too stinky. I was glad to stay in after trying to get the kids in and out of the chapel for a quick practice. By 3:00, the wind had really picked up.

And, yes, the kids were as well behaved as I could've expected. They wanted to run...and then Konner pooped and I had no diapers...but, we managed.
